Ashley, Registered Dental Hygienist
Ashley joined our team in February 2013. She’s from West Monroe. She lives in Calhoun with her fiancé, Nathan, and their three dogs, Lucy, Lily, and Lola Rose. Ashley graduated from West Monroe High School in 2004. She was a member of the National Honor Society.
She attended the University of Louisiana Monroe, where she graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene. While at ULM, she was awarded the Whitehead Scholarship and Who’s Who Among College Students.
Ashley loves spending time with her family and friends. Ashley strives to provide the best patient care through education so every patient can have a healthy mouth.
Jennifer, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Jennifer joined our team in 2000. She graduated from Neville High School and is one of our expanded-duty dental assistants. Jennifer enjoys working with our patients and training new staff members.
She and her husband, David, have a son, Krew. Her hobbies include watching her son play sports, going to LSU games, and cuddling with her fur baby, Boston.
Dawn, Clinical Administrator
Dawn joined our team in 1995. She graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1993 with a Bachelor of Physical Education. Dawn handles all aspects of the dental practice and loves visiting with and getting to know the patients. She has held various positions at Bayou Dental Group over the years, including certified dental assistant.
Dawn has a daughter named Chloe and a son-in-law named Logan. She loves spending time with them. Her hobbies include bowling, watching Chloe bowl, fishing, and socializing with family and friends while watching football. She loves animals and has three cats named Uno, Peanut, and Naomi, and two dogs named Chop and Nyla, which are all rescues.
Karla, Receptionist
Karla joined the Bayou Dental team in May of 2024. She grew up on a farm in Oak Grove, Louisiana, earned a degree in zoology, and went on to receive a D.D.S. degree from the LSU School of Dentistry. Karla practiced general dentistry in Oak Grove for 16 years. She recently went back to school and graduated from ULM with a master’s degree in English. She believes in a strong work ethic and striving for excellence in every endeavor.
Karla lives in West Monroe and has two daughters, Claire and Jordann. In her free time, she enjoys working on crossword puzzles, watching all LSU sports, and fishing.
Taylor, Hygiene/VA Coordinator
Taylor joined the Bayou Dental team in September 2023. She is our Hygiene/VA Coordinator. Taylor is a West Monroe native living in Calhoun with her husband, Michael, four children, Haidyn, Addie, Gabe, and Tate Michael, and their two labs, Buck and Macie.
Taylor graduated from West Monroe High School in 2014 and was on the Rebel Varsity Soccer Team for all 4 years. After high school, Taylor found her calling in retail and retail management for almost 9 years.
Taylor is a people person who is dedicated to helping our patients in any way possible. Her hobbies include quality family time, Luke Bryan concerts, and hunting.
Bonnie, Insurance Coordinator
Bonnie joined the Bayou Dental team in May of 2024. She has worked in dentistry for over 30 years and loves what she does. She was born on Christmas Day in West Monroe. She has two older brothers and lots of nieces and nephews whom she loves dearly. Bonnie grew up riding horses, playing softball, and basketball. She graduated from Louisiana Tech.
She loves being outside, traveling, and going to church. She has had the opportunity to travel to many wonderful places outside of the United States.
Victoria, Registered Dental Hygienist
Victoria joined our team in February 2025 as a registered dental hygienist. Victoria attended Neville High School, then ULM, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 2022.
Victoria is married to her husband Jacob, and they have two beautiful children, Bennett and Emory. They currently reside in West Monroe. If you can’t find her making your smile brighter, she’s most likely chasing her kids around or spending some time in the woods hunting.
Jennifer, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jennifer joined the Bayou Dental team in June 2020 and has been an integral part of our dental family ever since. Originally from LaSalle Parish, she moved to West Monroe in 2011, where she now lives with her husband, Bill, and their son, Gabriel.
A graduate of LaSalle High School’s Class of 1993, Jennifer earned honors before continuing her education at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She graduated in 2003 at the top of her class and was a proud member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. During her time at Lamar, she also received the prestigious Mamie McFaddin Scholarship Award.
Jennifer is passionate about her work as a dental hygienist and takes great pride in helping her patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. She loves building meaningful relationships with each of her patients and enjoys discovering personalized methods to help them care for their oral health.
Outside the office, Jennifer cherishes time with her family. She is an active member of The Assembly West Monroe Church, where she enjoys working with the youth group. Her faith plays a central role in her life, and she finds peace and inspiration in reading her Bible during her quiet time.
Makayla, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Makayla joined our team in 2021 as a hygiene assistant. She was born and raised in Nebraska and currently resides in Start, Louisiana.
In her free time, you will find her thrift shopping, entertaining her kids, or fishing/hunting. Since working at Bayou Dental, she has attended the ULM hygiene clinic to become EDDA certified.
Bailee, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Bailee joined our team in May 2024 as a hygiene assistant and brings over four years of dental assisting experience. She earned her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Certification in 2022 and continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
Bailee is a proud graduate of Family Community Christian School (Class of 2021), where she was actively involved in Beta Club and Interact Club, played softball, and served as co-captain of the cheer team. She currently resides in Mangham, Louisiana, and enjoys the peaceful country lifestyle.
Bailee plans to attend Southern University, where she will pursue a degree in Dental Hygiene. She is preparing to apply for the program in January and looks forward to advancing her career in dental care. Passionate about pediatric dentistry, Bailee especially enjoys working with children and educating them on proper oral hygiene habits.
Outside of work, Bailee enjoys studying, building her small business with her best friend Kayleigh, shopping, spending time with her Bayou Dental coworkers, cooking with her NeNe, and riding four-wheelers with her boyfriend.
Donna, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Donna, who graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1993, initially pursued dental hygiene at Northeast Louisiana University before obtaining certification from the Dental Assisting National Board. With over 33 years as a dental assistant and 24 years as a barber, Donna aims to enhance confidence through dental health and styling. he joined our team in May 2024, eager to continue learning and building connections.
In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her husband of 28 years, Ash, and their daughter, Mason. They are passionate about animal rescue, fostering, transporting, and supporting various local and national organizations. Their family includes four beloved pets: Max, Lula Belle, and Lyla Jane.
Kayleigh, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Kayleigh joined our team in April 2025. She has been married for 2 years and currently has two fur babies, Waylen and Asher. They spent their first year and a half of their marriage on the road for her husband’s job. They moved back to Louisiana so they could have crawfish year-round.
Kayleigh has been a dental assistant since 2022 and works in our hygiene department.
Michaela, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Michaela joined Bayou Dental Group in January 2024. She lives in Beekman with her husband Fordie and her two daughters. She went to Beekman Charter School and graduated in 2018. Then she went to Accelerated Dental Academy and became a dental assistant in 2021. She went to ULM in 2022 to obtain her EDDA license.
Michaela loves coming to work and working as a team! She always wants to learn new things! She also loves teaching the parents about each procedure so they will understand what’s going on.
Bayleigh, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant
Bayleigh joined the team in September 2025. She grew up in Olla, Louisiana, and graduated from LaSalle High School in 2020. Bayleigh completed her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification in May 2023 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Bayleigh is passionate about helping patients achieve a healthy smile. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Kristin, Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and Receptionist
Kristin is a dedicated and compassionate professional who brings both skill and heart to everything she does. A proud graduate of Ouachita Christian School (Class of 2020) and the University of Louisiana Monroe, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology in 2024, Kristin has always been passionate about science, healthcare, and helping others.
She began her dental journey when she joined the Bayou Dental team in 2020. The following year, she earned her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant certification, allowing her to grow her hands-on experience in patient care. With a strong background in both clinical and administrative work, Kristin is versatile, capable of assisting chairside as a dental assistant or managing front-office operations with professionalism and care.
Outside of work, Kristin treasures time spent with her nieces and nephews, whose energy and laughter bring so much joy to her life. She’s also a proud dog mom to Pixie, her loyal and playful companion.
Currently engaged and happily planning her wedding for October 2026, Kristin is embracing this exciting season of life with love, gratitude, and anticipation for what’s ahead.
Alyssa, Receptionist
Alyssa joined the team in February 2025 and she has really enjoyed being part of a collaborative and supportive environment where she can grow and contribute meaningfully. Outside of work, her life has been full of big moments. Recently she got married in August 2024, and in July 2025, her husband and her welcomed our first baby boy. It’s been a whirlwind in the best way. They also have a dog named Ellie who’s basically our second child and keeps us on our toes. She always loved to travel, whether it’s discovering new places or just getting a change of scenery—it helps her recharge and stay inspired. She is excited to be part of a team that values people as much as the work we do.
Valerie, Operations
Valerie is a dedicated professional and proud mother of six who brings a strong blend of organization, experience, and compassion to everything she does. With nearly 30 years of marriage and a life full of family, commitment, and hard work, she has built a reputation for reliability both at home and in the workplace.
In the office, Valerie oversees essential operations, including bookkeeping, ordering, and accounting. Her attention to detail and ability to manage complex tasks keep the office running smoothly every day. In addition to her administrative expertise, she is a skilled chairside and enjoys assisting in sterilization, making her a versatile and dependable member of the team.
Outside of work, Valerie loves traveling and creating meaningful experiences with her family. Her warm personality, strong work ethic, and dedication to the people around her shine through in everything she does.
