We see people every day that have real, real fears of going to the dentist, whether it started when they were a kid or whether they went to a dentist later on that wasn’t patient with them, so we offer a lot of different techniques to help alleviate those patients’ fears. If I’ve got a hundred patients out in the waiting room, there’s one thing that matters to me, and that’s the person that’s right there. We try to make sure that everybody feels like family here, that patients understand that they’re in control of every visit.
The other thing that scares patients is surprises. There’s no surprises here. You know where were going before we start. You know how we’re going to get there. You know the process involved. Consequently, at the end, there’s hardly ever a surprise. Fear’s a big thing for people, fear of the unknown, fear of pain, so we take care of that by eliminating those fears. I think that almost every patient that comes here lives that message and believes that message, and they carry it on out to other people afterwards.
Dr. Finley started his Monroe, LA dental practice because of trauma he experienced as a child, so he’ll never judge you for having the same fears. A visit to Bayou Dental Group can be your first step toward loving the dentist.
