Cosmetic Dentistry Services
Dr. Finley offers comprehensive cosmetic dentistry services.
Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening is a quick way to brighten your smile and make it look younger. We offer Zoom in-office whitening for a brilliant smile in about an hour, as well as take-home whitening. Read about the options on our teeth whitening page.
Porcelain veneers
Dr. Finley can transform your smile by bonding thin shells of porcelain to the fronts of your teeth. Veneers correct teeth that have gaps or chips, or that are discolored or misaligned. Read our porcelain veneers page for more information.
Dental crowns
A tooth that is severely decayed, worn, or broken doesn’t necessarily require extraction. A dental crown can preserve and protect it. We generally do metal-free ceramic crowns. Click the link to read more.
Dental bonding
We use this treatment to conceal minor imperfections in teeth, including chips, fractures, discoloration, and small gaps. Your tooth can be restored in one visit while you’re sitting comfortably in a dental chair. Read our dental bonding page for details.
Invisalign
If you want to straighten your teeth with orthodontics—but you don’t want anyone to notice your braces—Invisalign might be right for you. You’ll receive a series of customized clear aligners that move your teeth with precision in about half the time of traditional braces. Read our Invisalign page for details.
Pinhole surgical technique
When somebody has a lot of gingival recession, where the gums have shrunk down off the gums and exposed the roots of those teeth, the conventional way of doing things and the way I’ve done things for years is we borrow tissue from the palate; and we transplant that into place over those roots of those teeth. And it grows, and then you’ve got roots covered, and you have less sensitivity, and a prettier smile. But the healing process is pretty dramatic because we’re taking a lot of tissue from the palate to transplant it, because the palate is where the tough tissue really is and it grows back. But with the pinhole technique, we don’t have to take it out of the palate. We don’t take it anywhere. It’s collagen that is created and manufactured, and we actually then place it under the gums. We move the gums up, we put the collagen under the gums, and the collagen keeps the gums there; there’s no stitches involved. It is one of the coolest surgical techniques I’ve run into in years.
So far, the patients that we’ve done it on have had really good results, and they’re as amazed as I am at the postoperative results that we get with this. Somebody that’s had long, long teeth that had the roots exposed, we can make them back to a healthier, more youthful situation, a prettier smile. Because nobody wants long teeth. You know? That’s the whole adage when we get old, we get “long in the tooth.” Well, that’s why, because we have recession. But we can take those years away.
Receding gums can detract from your smile. Dr. Finley offers an innovative, minimally invasive way to correct gum recession without grafting procedures. Watch the video on this page as he describes the Pinhole Surgical Technique.
