David D. Finley DDS, FAACD, FAGD
Dr. Finley grew up in Monroe and was a student of the Monroe City School System. His parents are both retired educators. His mother, Donna, taught second grade for many years at Robinson Elementary School and his father, Richard, taught mathematics at Northeast Louisiana University (now the University of Louisiana of Monroe).
Dr. Finley received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Louisiana University and his D.D.S. from Louisiana State University. He is the 61st Accredited Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and is among the fewer than 6% of dentists in the entire U.S. who have achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Less than 30 dentists in the world have achieved both Fellowships. Dr. Finley is also one of the few dentists in the world who has won the annual smile gallery competition of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for five years in a row.
He has been practicing dentistry for 30 years and takes hundreds of hours of continuing education to remain on top of the current and future trends in dentistry. Dr. Finley genuinely cares. He puts his heart into his work because he wants his patients to have the best dental care possible. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is when patients tell him that was the best dental visit they ever had.
When not at the office, Dr. Finley enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to his lovely wife Valerie, and they have five children: Megan, Ashton, Kaleb, and twins Kristin and Coalton. Dr. Finley also enjoys working on projects around the house, fishing, and doing volunteer work as coach of local youth baseball, football, basketball, and soccer.
